PADOHA is a mythical dragon, ruler of the underworld in Batak realm.
PADOHA – Sub Harmonizer is an effector that generate an octave down along with hi-fi sub harmonic to your sound. It emphasize heavy bass with the capability to tone shape the low end of your sound and drive the sub territory of your PA system, that is if yours’ is supporting sub of course. PADOHA is well suited for a live performance with a massive gain boost on 30Hz and 60Hz, strong enough to rip the amp and sub that it’s connected to. Use it with caution. You have been warned.
PADOHA (also known as Naga Padoha written in Batak scripts as: ᯇᯑᯬᯂᯉᯪᯀᯐᯪ) is a primordial serpent – like dragon in Batak mythology. It is the ruler of the underworld (Banua Toru) living beneath the Toba Lake of Batak Realm in North Sumatera, Indonesia. A Batak creation myth told that in primordial times when the world was covered by water, PADOHA stirred up sand from the ocean bed to create the first islands which create the islands of Indonesia. PADOHA is considered as guardian of human who can cause earthquake and tremble the human realm from the underworld. PADOHA artwork is a reimagination from Krisna Widiathama (Sodadosa).
Just like where the name is taken from, PADOHA is an attempt to emphasys the unheard from our ears. It is a tribute to creation and re-creation which embrace a full cycle as a whole, sound and vibration as an entity for our senses to listen and to feel. Other than the heavy bass emphasis, there won’t be any other drastic changes to your sound, which makes PADOHA isn’t a pedal for everyone and that’s just fine.
